Congratulations Talia!
A diversely talented young woman, Talia excels in both academic and athletic pursuits. She has been active in provincial-level volleyball competition has placed in the top three at provincials 5 times over the last five years. She was named Tournament MVP at provincials in 2014 and named Overall Athlete of the Year that year. In 2016 she was invited to a Youth National Development Camp where she represented Canada. She was a member of the team winning back-to-back KPAC Tier 2 Championships, and was the MHSAA Beach Volleyball Provincial Champion in 2017 along with her partner.
Talia will be attending University, having been accepted to several. And she is waiting to hear about a possible spot on the UofW Wesmen Volleyball team!
Talia demonstrates an exceptional discipline and work ethic that allows her to have such remarkable academic and athletic success. Her drive for excellence is balanced with a kind demeanor and positive attitude which make her a perfect recipient for this award.
