Rules and Regulations for Applications to the Ashley Schlag Memorial Award: 
Springfield Collegiate Institute Graduate  

This award of $1000.00 will be presented to a single successful applicant annually.

Applicants to the Ashley Schlag Memorial Award for Springfield Collegiate Graduate should meet the following criteria:

​

>Be a girl enrolled in Grade 12 at Springfield Collegiate Institute.

​

>Have current involvement in competitive team sport at the provincial level. Note: Applicants do not have to be currently competing at a provincial level to apply. High-level achievement in sport is one of several criteria being assessed. If you have been active in a team sport but not necessarily at a provincial level, please apply!

​

>Have submitted all the required documents to Ashley Schlag Memorial Scholarship by the application deadline of May 16, 2025 including:

1.   Fully completed ​​​​​Application Form  (Choose "Save As"- Complete the form fields on your computer -Save changes, and attach to an email to ashleyscholarship@hotmail.com).

​

2.   Three (3) ​​​Letters of Reference. Of these 3 references one should be from a teacher, one from a coach, and the third from an adult who is not a relative. Note that this third reference can also be from a different teacher or coach. You can simply ask your references to visit this site to access the form or you can email it to them as an attachment after saving to your computer.​

Selection Process

As outlined in the document, Process for Blind Review, selection is made without knowledge of the applicant’s identity. The selection committee members will review the submissions and reach a unanimous decision based on a set selection criteria. Please refer to the Process for Blind Review for more details.
