A little bit about Tatum...
Active in the sports of hockey and rugby since 2011, Tatum has gained a reputation as a dedicated athlete, practicing "the first one on and the last one off" philosophy. Mentoring her team mates by offering her knowledge and encouragement, Tatum has also emerged as a natural coach.
Off the ice and field she has also demonstrated personal accountability and sense of community. Showing a genuine interest in others regardless of their differences, Tatum has that unique gift of making others feel accepted. This kindness and genuine spirit along with her dedication to her sports combined to make her an ideal candidate for this scholarship.
We wish her continued success in her chosen sports and in her studies in kinesiology and psychology at the University of Winnipeg. Thank-you Tatum and all our best for your future!

And a very special thank-you to all the applicants. It is clear that the Springfield community is home to many amazing young women. It was a difficult decision and we wish all of you could have won!
Finally, thank-you to the Apsit family. Young women like Tatum are able to excel due in large part to the support of an amazing family. We acknowledge your importance in her success!
