2020 Ashley Schlag Memorial Award for SCI Graduate
Recipient: Holly Johnson
June, 2020
Congratulations Holly!

Holly is a young woman who possesses many talents and exceptional character. She has worked her way up the soccer ranks eventually playing for several premier teams and assisting these teams in winning provincial championships. Most recently she has played with the Valour FC Elite Girls and FC Northwest Premier Soccer Club while still representing the Springfield Collegiate Sabres. Although she committed a great deal of time to training and competing in soccer, Holly also managed to work part-time and volunteer for various worthy causes. She has been described as a highly engaged community member. Holly fosters positive relationships with coaches, teachers, peers and teammates, by being supportive, having a positive attitude, and displaying a fantastic sense of humor. Holly's combination of talent, work ethic, and empathy makes her a natural leader. Despite her successes, Holly has remained humble and appreciative. Several of her references described her as the ideal candidate for the Ashley Schlag Memorial award which recognizes exceptional character, team spirit, and positive attitude in the face of adversity!

Holly graduated from SCI with an Honours with Distinction standing and will be attending University to pursue a career in Medicine.

Holly, we wish you all the best as you embark on this exciting new chapter in your life!

Nicole, Graham, and Madison Schlag.
