2022 Ashley Schlag Memorial Soccer Scholarship
Recipient: Cassidy Fedoruk
March, 2022
In appreciation...
First we want to thank all of the applicants who applied. The applicants have consistently been exceptional young women and it is challenging to pick one winner each year. We wish we could award each one.
Thank-you to all our generous supporters! Our corportate sponsors and special supports, those who have volunteers, participated in, or donated to the Moves Like Schlager tournaments. We are grateful to all our supporters who enable us to continue to award the Ashley Schlag Memorial Scholarship soccer award each year. This holds a very special meaning for us.
Congratulations Cassidy!
Cassidy has been involved in high level soccer competition for several years. She helped her Bonivital Soccer Club take home the MSA cup in 2018 and 2019. A member of the Western Canada team for the Summer Games, she went on to be part of Valour FC's High Performance and Elite Girls programs.
Cassidy's success is the result of an exceptional work ethic. She was known for staying late after practices and attending extra sessions to improve her game. As one reference stated, Cassidy knows all about hard work and perseverance which means she has developed the skills to "handle anything that is thrown her way".

A true team leader, Cassidy is kind, thoughtful, and inclusive of everyone. While many players are "accepting" of others, Cassidy takes it to another level. She takes on the responsibility to ensure everyone feels like a valued member of the team.

We feel so fortunate to be able to recognize your exceptional character and dedication to inclusivity in sport. We know the University of Regina Cougars is very lucky to have you! All our best for your continued success!
